Rules

Important Guidelines

  1. Chapters cannot win in the same category two years in a row, applications entered for a category won in 2018 will be disqualified
  2. Chapters cannot win in both Chapter of the Year and an Excellence Award in the same year. If a Chapter scores the highest in both the Chapter of the Year and any Excellence Award category, the Chapter will be awarded Chapter of the Year, and the Excellence Award will be awarded to the runner up.
  3. In order to be selected for SITE Chapter of the Year, Chapters must have submitted their 2019 financial activity reports (period of 1 Jan – 31 Dec 2019) on time.
  4. Describe and quantify (provide attendance data, revenue, etc.) results where applicable to support the application. Be specific. Remember our tagline: Incentive Travel. Business Results
  5. Supporting files such as photos or video must be submitted in the "Attachments" section of the application. For photos, we recommend that they are pasted into a PowerPoint Presentation or an online slide show and only attach one file, non-editable files such as PDF or protected slideshows will not be accepted. Newsletters, press releases and coverage are welcome
  6. SITE reserves the right to use all photos and videos submitted for promotional purposes, it is the Chapter’s responsibility to obtain permission from featured individuals

How are Winners Chosen?

The Chapter Awards were established in 2002 in order to recognize local SITE Chapters for outstanding achievements in membership, events and overall excellence. Members of the SITE Awards and Recognition judging panel evaluate all entries that have been successfully submitted to SITE HQ Staff as indicated. The judging panel is impartial in their evaluation and must not show favoritism toward the Chapter they belong to; any indication of the contrary will result in immediate dismissal. Judges rank each entry based on Chapter performance in a variety of areas under the awards criteria. Rankings are aggregated to determine the winners. Only the Chapter President will be notified of the award and it will remain confidential to the public until the award ceremony. Visit: www.SITEglobal.com/ChapterAwards to see past winners.
