The Ohio Corn & Wheat Emerging Leader Summit is a statewide leadership development program created by Ohio Corn & Wheat. It is our goal to encourage and prepare Ohio grain producers to become more involved with grassroots programs and our organizations.

It is also our goal to develop leaders for the future that will advance our industry and respond to the major challenges facing Ohio grain producers. Therefore, we are calling all potential leaders to apply for acceptance into this program. Please consider the following qualities when considering applying (or nominating an applicant):

  • Accountability
  • Enthusiasm
  • Positive attitude
  • Open-mindedness
  • Courage
  • Vision

The program will take place January 27-30, 2020, in Columbus, Ohio. Participants will be immersed in sessions to develop their knowledge and skills in the areas of leadership, communication, and advocacy. Following the program in Columbus, leaders will also participate in a one-on-one coaching session and be invited to attend Corn Congress in July 2020.

A limited number of spots are available for this unique program and Ohio Corn & Wheat is seeking powerful individuals from all over the state to participate. Program sponsor Seed Consultants, Inc., along with Ohio Corn & Wheat, will incur the cost of the program. There will be no out-of-pocket expense for participants.

Enclosed in this document you will find an overview of the sessions, an application and a sponsor form. We encourage individuals of all ages to apply. Each application must have a minimum of one sponsor.
